Sometimes God gives us a vision we think is meant for someone else, only to realize it was first meant for us. In Acts 10, Cornelius, a Roman centurion, receives a message of salvation through Peter’s preaching. But before Peter can deliver that message, God confronts him with a vision of unclean animals lowered from heaven. What Peter first interprets as a lesson about food is really a lesson about people—and about his own heart.
This Sabbath we’ll discover how the gospel message went to Cornelius, but the vision reflected back on Peter. God not only saves the outsider, He reshapes the insider. The same Word that transforms those we share it with often doubles back as a mirror, revealing God’s desire to change us too. Join us as we explore how God works on both sides—transforming the one who hears and the one who speaks.
