The "Golden Rule" instructs us to simply treat others in the same manner that we would like to be treated. That's really pretty simple and, if followed, would certainly make the world a better place wouldn't it? But the Bible takes us even deeper. We are challenged to reach out and bear one another's burdens. We are to come alongside our neighbors and do what we can to ease their loads and help them on their way. At the same time we are expected to carry our own responsibilities without complaint. Is there a difference in those two pictures? Additionally we are called upon to bear fruit as we walk through our life connected to the Source of life. This week we'll look more closely at the "Golden Rule" and differences in the three "bears"!
