Jesus Reunion
Introduction
Read Ephesians 1:4; Matthew 24; 1 John 3:1-3; Heb 12:2; 2 Cor 5:7; Col 3:5, Zech 7:9-10.
Do you remember when you heard the gospel and understood it? How about hearing of the Second Coming and thinking about your readiness? Our childhood faith believes in heaven and believes in being there. Our growing faith has to consider God's plan to get us to heaven. That includes beginning a lifestyle that reflects heaven's ideals.

KNOW
- What is it like to be chosen before you were even born? Ephesians 1:4
- How do end-time signs help us in our faith? Matthew 24:1-14
- How have we gotten accustomed to lawlessness (sin) in our generation?
- Jesus warns the disciples that end-time deceptions are real and that we need to be able to recognize them. How confident are you that you will be able to recognize the counterfeit? Matthew 24:23-28
- How does Jesus propose we counter love that has grown cold? Matthew 24:13-14
- Look at God's kind of love towards us. 1 John 3:1-3
- How is Jesus the author and finisher of your faith? Hebrews 12:2
- In an effort to avoid seeming too legalistic, we neglect fulfilling God's full intent. Consider the words, "put to the death...what is earthly in you?" Colossians 3:5
GROW
Do you remember when you heard the gospel and understood it? How about hearing of the Second Coming and thinking about your readiness? Our childhood faith thinks of heaven and being there. Our growing faith has to consider God's plan to get us to heaven. That includes beginning a lifestyle that reflects heaven's ideals.
Our Christian journey has highs and lows, hills and valleys, ups and downs. Don't let discouragement set in. It's not failure to fall, it's a failure if we don't get back up.

GO
The Bible describes the Second Coming as the "blessed hope." What do people hope for? Usually, hope is for something good. The ultimate blessed hope is not even the event of the Second Coming. It is the blessing of finally being in the presence of God. Who on earth is someone you feel blessed to be around and look forward to being with them? How does that compare to being in the presence of our Savior? What would it be like to be in the presence of your Creator and Savior? I would say a much greater blessing. Share this hope with someone this week.
