Throughout my life I have struggled with, and worked to resist negative self talk. It was drummed into me throughout my formative years and far too often I give in to reminding myself of many of the really bad decisions and actions of my past. But, thanks be to God, I have learned, when those negative thoughts enter my mind, to quickly remember that God's grace has not just forgiven these acts, but He also has blotted them from my record. Now, when Satan wants to remind me of my unworthiness, I remind myself that here is another tool that God can use to help another struggling brother or sister. "Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now am found...was blind, but now I see." May God's amazing grace pour over your heart and mind today and every day and may the peace that passes understanding bring a calm assurance as you walk through this world that is not our home.
