We've just returned from an amazing journey that started in Berlin, Germany and included Ozorkow, Poland, where Ingrid was born, although it was Germany at the time. We returned to Retzow, near Berlin to visit with cousins for a couple of days and then flew to Istanbul and then flew to Rome. From there we went by train to Florence and Venice. Our son and daughter-in-law were with us to that point and they had to return home while Ingrid and I took the train to Vienna and then on to Budapest. After four wonderful days there we went again by train back to Berlin for two final nights before returning home. The trip was miraculous in so many ways. Best of all, it was all expenses paid. Additionally I am so thankful that God gave me the strength to walk day by day and not hold up the group too much. I have come to realize now, more than ever, that "the trip of a lifetime" is a miracle beyond our ability to fully comprehend. We have each been give a lifetime. Some are long. Some are short. Some are relatively easy. Some are extremely hard. But, the miracle is the journey...the destination...the final stop and it is something that no eye has ever seen. No ear has ever heard, and no mind has ever conceived. It will blow your mind and the best part is...it is an all expenses paid journey!
