Carmichael SDA Church Bulletin

Here it is! Christmas is almost here.. I love the songs, the smells, the tastes, the decorations and especially all the traditional dishes and displays that remind me of my childhood. I sense that most of the people I have encountered this past week are ready for a Christmas break. There has been way too much chaos in our world, our nation, and in our daily lives. I want to sit by a fire with a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows on top and listen to Bing Crosby, Andrea Bocelli, and Andre Rieu. I want to gather around the table laden with wonderful food with as many of our family as can come. I want to read all the Christmas cards and letters...short ones please...from friends and loved ones far and near. But, in the midst of all that, I want to stop and embrace the Wonder of the Child born...the Son given...who will establish a government and a peace that will know no end. May that God of Wonder help us to allow His Spirit to guide our thoughts and purpose this Christmas.
